All vehicle rentals in Rugeley are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. In cases of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.

3. Reservations and Payments

Full payment, along with a security deposit, is usually required when you collect the vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT as applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely through established payment providers.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, a thorough inspection is required. Please report any pre-existing damage right away. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties. When returning the vehicle, it should be in the same condition as when collected, accounting for standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at collection; otherwise, refueling fees will apply. If you anticipate a delay in returning the vehicle, please contact us immediately, as late returns may incur additional charges. 5. Coverage and Responsibility
- All rentals come with basic third-party insurance included. Detailed coverage information and excess amounts can be found in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to lower your financial responsibility. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You are liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless covered by supplementary insurance. Any damage resulting from negligence, improper use, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of insurance coverage.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies depend on the type of booking and the notice provided. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional fees.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- The vehicle must not be used for any illegal activities. Activities such as racing, rallying, or off-roading are prohibited, along with the transportation of hazardous materials. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. Additionally, vehicles should not be used beyond their intended purpose, nor exceed passenger or weight limits. Driving outside of the agreed geographical areas requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Rugeley will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, that may arise from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the previous 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or fraud.
9. Local Legal Standards
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
